We find the AI worth building — then we build it.
A two-week, fixed-scope audit of how your business actually runs — ending in working software built on your data, and an honest verdict on what to build next. And what not to.
The terms, up front — because terms end arguments
Sign a build agreement within 60 days of your findings presentation and the full audit fee credits against it. If you proceed, the audit is effectively free.
What the audit is — and what it isn't
Most small and mid-size businesses have already bought AI — subscriptions, pilots, a tool someone read about. Almost none of it is running in production. The AI Automation Audit answers one question: which of your manual processes would actually pay back an automation investment, measured on your own numbers?
For ten business days we embed with your team — interviewing the people who do the work, walking through the systems you already own, and replaying an automation agent in shadow mode against your historical data, scored against the outcomes your people actually produced. You get findings in dollars, a working demonstration on your data, and a signed report you keep either way.
It is not a financial-statement audit, not a penetration test, and not a sales deck with a discovery call attached. It works at the process level: we don't need — and don't want — protected health information, privileged, or regulated data. Six interviews, five systems, two weeks, done.
The two weeks, day by day
Ten business days. Fixed scope. No drift.
Kickoff
A 60–90 minute call with the people who own the work. We agree on scope, access, and who we talk to — then the clock starts.
Discovery
Up to 6 stakeholder interviews (60 minutes each, capped) and read-only walkthroughs of up to 5 systems. We sit with your people and watch the work as it actually happens.
Data-Quality Snapshot
Your data scored on a 1–5 rubric across completeness, consistency, accessibility, freshness, and ownership. A low score means the report leads with "fix your plumbing first" — and says so.
Analysis & Proof of Concept
We model the return on investment of each opportunity from your numbers, and build a working proof of concept for the top opportunity on your sample data. Not a mock — a thing that runs.
Findings Presentation
Up to two hours: findings in dollars, a live demo of the proof of concept, and our prescription — including what not to build. The report lands 24–48 hours before the meeting.
The caps are real: beyond six interviews or five systems, we write a change order or we stop. Client-side delays extend the timeline day-for-day — we'll tell you, not bill you.
What you keep
The report is yours whether or not we ever build
Every deliverable is yours to keep and use internally — including the working software.
Evidence-Tagged Findings Report
Every claim traced to an interview or artifact — [I-2] is interview two, [A-4] is artifact four. Every return-on-investment number is recomputable from the methodology appendix.
Automation Opportunity Map
Every opportunity we found, priced and sized — including the ones we recommend you decline. Sometimes the honest answer is "don't build this yet," and you get that answer too.
Return-on-Investment Model per Opportunity
Driver-based models built from your volumes, your rates, your hours. We compute returns from your data; we don't promise them.
Prioritized Roadmap
Now, next, later — sequenced by payback and dependency, not by what we happen to sell.
A Working Proof of Concept
The top opportunity, built on your sample data and demonstrated live. Competitors deliver slideware; we deliver a thing that runs.
Live Findings Session
The presentation and Q&A with the economic buyer in the room. You keep everything whether or not we ever build.
The credit
If you proceed, the audit is effectively free
Sign a build agreement within 60 days of your findings presentation and 100% of the audit fee credits against the build price. The credit expires on day 61, is non-transferable, and has no cash value — we state that plainly because terms end arguments.
Why it exists: the audit is how we earn the right to quote your build. We're not interested in selling you a report and disappearing — the report is the proof.
Charter pricing
for the first five audit clients, or through March 31, 2027 — whichever comes first. Same scope, same deliverables, same credit.
Honest scarcity: when we're at capacity we stop selling audits for two weeks rather than dilute the work. If the calendar is full, we'll say so.
Not ready for the full audit?
Start with the AI Opportunity Snapshot — $1,000
Pick the one workflow that eats the most hours — invoicing, intake, reporting, scheduling. Book a 30-minute intake call and walk us through it, then send what the workflow touches: sample reports, spreadsheets, inbox exports. Everything arrives under NDA and is deleted when the work is done.
Two business days later, written findings land in your inbox: what to automate and what to leave alone, the hours and dollars at stake computed from your numbers, and an honest verdict on whether the full audit would pay for itself.
What it isn't: no stakeholder interviews, no system walkthroughs, no working proof of concept — that's the audit. The Snapshot is one workflow, on paper, fast.
The credit stacks: the Snapshot fee credits toward the audit, and the audit fee still credits toward your build. Proceed all the way and both are effectively free.

A good fit
- → You're paying for two or more AI tools with no measured return.
- → You have a stalled or abandoned AI pilot from the last 12 months.
- → A manual, high-volume process is visibly leaking hours — invoicing, intake, reporting, scheduling, reconciliation.
- → Your data is scattered across systems with no single owner.
- → The owner, chief financial officer, or chief operating officer will attend the findings presentation.
Not a fit — and we'll say so
- × You want a free proof of concept. Free is a lead magnet for someone else's product; the fee is the filter.
- × You can't grant read-only access to the relevant systems in week one.
- × You want a guaranteed return-on-investment figure. We compute returns from your data; we don't promise them.
- × You want a score. A score is not a plan.
Proof, not promises
See exactly what you'll receive
A complete findings report, in the same format and to the same standard you'll receive — built on a modeled archetype with synthetic data, so no client confidences are ever at risk.
The sample uses synthetic data from a modeled accounting-firm archetype — labeled as such on every page.
Start with a 30-minute call
No pitch deck. We'll ask three questions — do you own the profit-and-loss leak, do you have two of the five buying signals, and can we get week-one access — and tell you on the call whether an audit makes sense.
